Portal Tool for Houdini Indie
A Houdini Indie tool for creating portals. Houdini FX version currently not supported.
Features:
-Default portal shape is included but custom shapes can be plugged into the first input or referenced in the sop path.
-Automatically place and orient cameras for a portals view based off of a perspective camera.
-Send animated geometry through the portals. Geometry must have static topology and have a rest attribute not intersecting with the portals.
-Use calculated matrix to transform particles in simulations.
Setup:
-Drop a 2D shape into the first input and turn on custom shape if you would like to use custom geometry.
-Plug 2 points with either a normal or orient attribute into the second input.
-For sending animated geometry through a portal, make sure the geometry has a rest position that is not intersecting with the portals. After that, plug the geometry into the third input.
Transform matrix can be found at "portal/OUT_CAM_PTS".
The blue portal is point 0 and the orange portal is point 1.
